How long is the warranty valid?
The warranty period is one (1) year from the date of installation of the printing system.
What is covered by the warranty?
The warranty covers defects in the entire device and all parts of the device, with the exception of consumables and ink-carrying replacement parts. To have the device repaired, it must be delivered to the responsible customer service center in Germany.
The repair time depends on the availability of spare parts and the workload of our service center (on average, 2 weeks). The maximum time for resolving a fault, from delivery of the device to the service center until shipment to the customer, is 30 business days. The customer is responsible for the costs of delivery and shipping or collection of the device.
If the customer wishes to have the device repaired on-site, they will incur costs for travel, accommodation, and meals for our service technician. For repairs during the warranty period, new original parts are used. Removed old parts remain with Modico Graphics Warranty Service.
The warranty does not cover:
- Mechanical damage to the device caused by: movement, impact, flooding, fire, overheating, freezing (operating temperatures outside specifications), power surges, moisture, storms, or dropping the device.
- Damage caused by dust and dirt in the air. Damage caused by printing on unsuitable surfaces (e.g., dusty and reflective surfaces).
- The warranty is void if the customer performs repairs themselves or through non-certified service.
The same applies to the use of non-original spare parts.
- Mechanical damage caused by improper use of the device.
- Damage to the printing part of the device (including the printhead) due to mechanical impacts, scratches, or other damage.
- Clogging of the surface or inside of the printhead by dried ink.
- Damage caused by improper installation of the device by an unauthorized technician or the customer.
- Damage to the device and its moving parts due to failure to follow maintenance instructions or improper execution.
- Damage to parts of the ink transport system, such as the pump, tanks, capping station, wiper, damper, printhead, printhead tubing, ink bags, and parts connecting the entire system.
- The warranty does not cover connected computers, PC problems, Power cord, plug, and USB cable.
The warranty does not cover consumable parts of the device, such as:
For example, pump, tanks, capping station, wiper, damper, damper holder, printhead, printhead tubing, ink pouches, and parts connecting the entire system, as well as spitting box inserts or replacement filters. These components must be replaced or emptied regularly. Otherwise, the device may be damaged, and any consequential damage is not covered by the warranty. The Neonjet device should be used at least once every 10 days. After several days of non-use, be sure to perform the recommended maintenance and cleaning procedures and print suitable items for at least 30 minutes.
Who is covered by the warranty?
The warranty holder is exclusively the purchaser of the device listed here. The warranty does not automatically transfer to a new owner if the device is sold by the owner during the warranty period. In this case, please contact your Neonjet dealer first.
